Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 July 2026

Cited is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that lets Claude read official, publicly available filings from NIFTY 50 companies — earnings call replays and transcripts, KPI data books, investor presentations, and annual reports. This policy explains what we do and don't collect.

The short version: we don't collect personal information. We only keep basic, anonymous usage counts (like how many times the tool was called) to keep the service running. Your conversations happen inside Claude and are governed by Anthropic's terms and privacy policy.

What we don't collect

What we do collect

We keep anonymous, aggregate usage metrics — for example, the total number of times the tool was called and which documents were requested in aggregate. This is operational data used to monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and improve coverage. None of it is tied to personal information or to an individual user.

Where the data comes from

The financial information Cited returns comes from documents that the companies themselves publish for investors. We surface and cite what those source documents say — we don't add, alter, or generate financial figures. Every answer references the underlying filing.

Claude and Anthropic

Cited runs as a connector inside Claude. Your prompts, conversations, and the AI's responses are processed by Claude and are subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy and Usage Policies. When you use Cited through Claude, you are also bound by Anthropic's terms in addition to ours.

Third parties

We don't sell or share data, because we don't collect personal data to begin with. We may use standard infrastructure and privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics purely to operate and improve the service.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
